The Central Avenue Solstice celebrates the day the sun rises and sets on Central Avenue, the main artery or “zipper” of The Sunshine City. A full day of events are planned along the 7-mile length of the Avenue, featuring art, culture, music, food, shopping and all the things that make St. Petersburg a great place to be!

Activities begin at sunrise with yoga, tai chi and fitness at South Straub Park, and continue with art demonstrations, family activities, markets, restaurant specials, music at five main stages, and then closing with sunset salutations at Sunset Park. All event activities are free, as is the Central Avenue Trolley, which will be running free all day. For more info on the event, see ( .

WE NEED YOUR HELP to make this event successful!

We have a variety of volunteer shifts available from helping at our main stages, to helping with our sunrise fitness, our human foosball game, and our info booths! For shifts and signups, go to Each volunteer will receive one of our awesome CAS t-shirts!
