The Grand Central Chili Cook-Off is the District’s longest-running event and serves as a community social and fundraiser for the Grand Central District Association, a 501c3 non-profit organization.
The event will take place Saturday, February 23rd, 2019 – rain or shine – along the 2400-2600 blocks of Central Avenue and will include over 40 contestants, beer tastings from our local craft breweries, select vendors, and chance drawings.
Restaurants, businesses, non-profits, neighborhood associations, individuals, and first responders can enter their favorite chili recipe to participate and will compete in multiple categories.
The registration fee is $25 per chili entry for non members and free for current Grand Central District members.
Electricity fee (if needed) is $20
Participants must supply chili (a minimum of 4 gallons is recommended), a tent (no larger than 10 x10), a table, and banner (if applicable).
Two chili participants may share a 10 x 10 tent.
The District will take care of all promotion and supplies (plates, spoons, cups, water, etc.)
Winners will be selected in each category by professional judges.
The People’s Choice winner will be determined by the attendees!
All proceeds go towards Grand Central District improvements—and bragging rights!
